Fitt’s Law
Fast movements and small targets result in greater error rates due to a tradeoff between speed and accuracy.
The time it takes an individual to select a specific object depends on how far they are from the object and the size of the object.
Small objects that are far away from your cursor are more difficult to select, while large objects that are close to your cursor are easier to select.
Hick’s Law
The more stimuli to choose from, the longer it takes the individual to decide which one to interact with.
The more choices, the more likely you’ll become overwhelmed due to too much information presented at once.
Too many options become a hindrance rather than a benefit.
